Week 8

It's hard to believe that this is the last post for EDUC 573.  The 8 weeks really have flown by!  During this course, I was nervous & overwhelmed, but eventually became confident in the area of teaching and incorporating technology into my classroom.  I plan on using many of the assignments we created and fit them into my curriculum.  I hope to stay up to date on my Delicious account and hope to use it as a resource.  I also plan on using the WebQuest I created in my curriculum as well.

Now...onto the next class to finish out the chapter in my life for obtaining my Master's Degree!

Week 7

I have my WebQuest almost all the way finished.  I need to put my standards on it and then it will be complete.  I need to get going on me eportfolio...I haven't been keeping up with that.  It's hard to believe next week is the end already!  Once we got going with the assignments, the weeks started really flying by!  I have learned new techniques in this course and plan to apply them to my class.

week 6 Blog

This weeks assignments were to complete the web discussion and also pick a Google App that I would find useful in my class.  I picked working with Flickr as my app.  I am really excited to get started on this and having the students help me create documents to view & share.

The next assingment that I had to start working on was a WebQuest.  I started mine and have it finished for the most part.  I still need to link a couple documents, but overall it is complete, which is good, since I need to start getting info ready for the eportfolio.  The class is quickly coming to an end and isn't nearly as stressful as it was at the begininng!

Week 5

Well the class is more than half way over with! I am not feeling as stressed as I was earlier in the course.  I have a handle on my Wiki project, I have a few more things to do to it before it's ready to be turned in, but I feel pretty good about how it is going up to this point.

I have my discussion post finished for the week and my PLN assignment posted.  I found a PLN called The Educator's PLN http://edupln.ning.com/ and as I was getting familiar with it, I really like what I have found.  I think I could spend a lot of time digging around the information out there for educators.

I am trying to get my assignments started early so I am not stressed about them.  I feel I am doing good up to this point!

Week 4

I think I may have skipped week 3....it was a very crazy week. I had a lot of personal issues going on, plus a lot of work related stuff going on as well.  It was just a crazy week.

I have managed to get my Week 4 post and reply in already (as of Tuesday), my Edmodo project is finished, I have my Delicious project finished-all components are in there, just ready to be graded.  I need to start working on my Wiki project, that is the next big project that is due.  I have a couple days off school for Easter break, so I think I am going to tackle that project over the next couple days.  Not really how I wanted to spend my time off, but I would rather do it now rather than trying to get it finished next week.

We are halfway finished with the class...only 4 more to go!

Week 3 Post 1

I am trying hard to continue keeping up with activities in class.  This is going to be a crazy, hectic week, so it would be in my best interest to try & get as much work out of the way early on in the week.

I am starting to get all my pages mixed up: Edmodo, Wiki, delicious...they all are starting to run together and it is hard to keep them straight.  I am not exactly sure what one does that the other doesn't do, that is something that I will have to keep investigating!

Week 2 Post 2

So I have been trying really hard to keep up with all the work for this week.  I succesfully submitted my artical review before the Wednesday at midnight deadline, I made my Edmodo page--not sure what to do with it now though.  I think I am following 1 classmate, requested to follow another classmate and I am not sure what to do about the other classmates, because I can't search their names.  I just still feel like I am not really sure what I need to be doing.  It's very time consuming keeping up with blogs, creating accounts, add information/people/websites to these sites, make sure I post comments before Wednesday, and make sure I have my assignments submitted before Sunday at midnight.  To be honest, I am not really sure what is due and when it's due.  I feel like I am looking all over the class webpage for assignments, just to make sure that I am not going to over look something.

 It's just very overwhelming on top of my teaching job and my home life.

Week 2 Post 1

Okay, I have my head on straight, this week isn't nearly as crazy as last week....I am going to be on top of things, get all my work finished early in the week so I don't have to stress out about it all week long.....

1st Blog!

This is my first post to the blog and I am not really sure what exactly I need to be blogging about! I guess I can blog about my experiences with my online class this week. I feel a little overwhelmed, it was a crazy week at school, I had 3 nights of something going on after school, plus had to take my daughter to the doctor...so I feel like I am missing something! I am excited about a blog, I follow a couple teachers blogs, but I am not sure my life is really that exciting to post about it!
